I wanted to write for my classmates Hidesato, Yorgos, and Inigo - and after hearing them play the Sonata in G Minor
with Ji Yun, the baroque cellist, I decided that I had to drop the cello and focus on the recorders.
Coincidentally my composition classmate Femke introduced me to minimal music piece Canto Ostinato.
This made me curious. In the library, I listened to the music of John Adam, Steve Reich, Philip Glass.
That gave me an idea --- but I had minimall time to write this piece.
Minimal music, limitation of compass, what do you do with three instruments from the same family?
